Over a century later, the place is still operational, although these days it functions as a bar and restaurant, but the award winning brews are still on tap. The classy, wood-paneled atmosphere is enhanced by live jazz and blues several nights a week.

416-728-4503 | | | | | Description: DOWNTOWN. Don't be fooled by Smokeless Joe's diminutive size the basement pub packs a wallop! Toronto's lengthiest beer menu is here, and it's more than 250 brands strong. The staff is incredibly well educated and can answer virtually any of your beer-related questions. The space, despite its size, is comfortable, although during peak times you will be rubbing elbows (and other body parts, probably) with your neighbors; out on the patio you at least have the open air over your head, if you tend toward claustrophobia. The food is simple but very well prepared pub grub. Overall, an excellent stop for any lover of fine malt beverages.
